Sorry to intrude, but being this side of the pond. What conversion would you use when your feedrate is .40 for example. On my parameters I have feed rates of 3000, 4000 for example.
A large tag on each part is the way to go. Long thin parts want them on each end and in the middle. The more experience you have watching and using different materials will help you when it comes to programming for each part/material thickness.
Cutting with trace off requires the material to be perfectly flat with no movement.
Also a necessatity that your slats are new.
Not really advisable unless absoloutley necessary.
Try recalibrating the head sensor.
I turn trace off, and run adjust head sensor on a piece of material. It will move...
I've never seen them on our F0M4222 you mention @jetrep.
The sensor head is a sealed unit. They are made to be the weakest point and break if a part tilts to protect more expensive parts further up. They say more expensive, when a head is £1100!!
This obviously is an extreme example of the...
We have the F0M machine, 4222NT infact.
Cutting Head Connections are when a part tilts up whilst the head is moving in the direction. If the head touches the part thats tilted, it will move the alignment and also cause damange to the nozzle.
You will need to replace the nozzle every time and...
We charge £90-100 an hour as standard. As the priority of our machine is cutting jobs for ourselves. The actual use of gas and eletricity is maybe £10-15 an hour. We use an Amada FOM-4222NT.
I set up a simple excel spreadsheet. All you have to enter then is how long it takes to cut, how much the...
The forumula I is cost of material + time to cut (@whatever rate)
You can work out how much the material costs my geting the cost of the sheet then the utilisation percentage.
Amada do seem to help us quite a bit, but we do have to pay the 'Service' at a large expense.
If in need, we usually get an engineer and parts next day if necessary.
Thankfully if you find someone at the HQ you can chat to and trust, it makes problem solving alot easier.
We have to make what we want to etch in the AP100 program. Makes them a magenta colour.
If you also turn off 'Use G41/G42' in the Laser Tool Assign/ NC GENERATE part of Dr-Abe, any small imperfections it will ignore.
Just make sure you turn it back on, and ensure the condition you use E010 as a...
