I am new to this forum. I have read a similar thread regarding the issue that I have referenced.

Basically on our Omada Laser it crashes the head on the M104 command. It goes to 0.00 no matter what I have tried including
M104 Z.5. I have looked at the cut conditions settings and the Z Retract Height / No End which is set to 50mm. All other paramaters for the Z Retract Height are set to 25mm.

This is for an Amada LC1212-Alpha II. I noticed that the title references an Omada laser, sorry.

have you set your Nozzle gap in the cut condition for the material or is it crashing directly after edge detection?

On your conditions page, make sure there is a thickness of material stated.

This machine does not have edge detection. Also, the thickness of material does not appear to work properly. In other words it is set to zero and the head has been adjusted to compensate manually. Keep in mind I am researching this on my own by interpreting what our engineer / operator is telling me. I would like to know how to completely clear a setting in cut conditions. Right now it contains 0.0000 whereas before it was blank. How to "blank" a setting?

Thanks for the replies.

Can you take a picture of your conditions page?
With what material you want to cut?

I will get a pic posted, should be running the laser tomorrow morning. Thanks again.

On this machine do you run an 8010 (head calibration program) to calibrate the head before you start cutting?
