What i believe and follow is consistency means if your model is in mm use mm, kg(or tonn) ,and newton(or milli newto or kilo newton) as units. if the model is in inches use inches , lbf.

By mistake i have exported a wrong .dat file.
Suppose if there are no constraints the model should not start solving , the model setup check will give an error saying , there are n constraints in the model.
in my case i have given proper boundary conditions (fixed on one end ).

i got the output,shell element thickness output is only available for large strain model.
So we have to check large strain in the parameters section of the solution box.

I am not sure, but Check whether you specified the modeling object for Advanced nonlinear(BCTPARAM) in the surface to surface contact dialogue box and check whether you have created the global contact parameters in the solution dialogue box.
