Why can't I manipulate parasolid geometry?

Thanks for the replies. There were a few minor issues in the examine geometry process, but my understanding is that the tool lets you know of the locations, but doesn't have any autofix or anything. I suppose I could run optimize, but I don't think that will help me. I'd like to just split the...

Why can't I manipulate parasolid geometry?

Probably a dumb question, but why can't I do simple things like trim/unite geometry from a parasolid? I can't even export it to .prt as it won't highlight when I try? Are they technically sheet bodies instead of a solid is that why? Thanks, -Xh NX 10

    CAD files other than NX

I agree with you about dragging into an already open session. But if I double click a file when no NX session is open, it opens 7.5 (which I dont want to use) instead of 10, even tho I used the correct .exe for the default program. If its not a quick fix, no worries NX 10

    CAD files other than NX

I navigate to the .exe for NX 10 (see attachment) and set to default. When I click the file, it opens NX 7.5, but doesn't actually open up the file. Weird. Currently I use the drag and drop method. Thanks for helping me i appreciate it! NX...

    CAD files other than NX

I always have trouble linking a .prt file to open in NX. The NX 10 .exe is set as default, but it never works so I have to open it from NX which is annoying. What do you guys do? NX 10

    Feature Colour

Not sure if this is the same questions, but lets say I'm adding stock to a model. Each offset surface I create I want it to be green each time without having to assign each new surface one at a time. Good question! NX 10

    3D PDF

Adobe X pro allows you to just open the .prt(actually almost anything) and when it saves, you have your 3d PDF. NX 10

I just read the definitions in the help docs, but fail to see the difference. Can anyone give me an example of when you would use one over the other please? NX 10

    Surface help

What's the easiest/best way to accomplish what I'm trying to do here? See pic, All I want to do is take park of the surface geometry, and create a casting riser out of it that ends up in a rounded sphere. I want a smooth transition, from the part surface (the cross) to a sphere. The left is my...
