I asked about this once before and I know it's basically cut it at your own risk. But what I'm wondering is does anyone know why we could cut brass all the time with our 1500 watt CO2 laser, an LCE 655, but not with an FOM II 3015 nt that is 4000 watts and also a CO2 laser? Boss came up to me...
OK. The time as arrived. I have the ingredients required to change everything. Looking in the maintenance manual, there's a procedure for stopping the ocillator before I change anything. Does that need to be done even if the laser has been shut down all night? If so where do I find parameter...
Ours is set to 550 power, 40 freq. and 25 duty cycle. Our normal hole is .008". So the bigger hole made no sense. But for whatever reason it's back to normal. Don't even get me started on how many times I get a sensor or z wire break alarm that after resetting it, it works fine. Like magic.
Well I did a tape shot with the nozzle off and the beam was right in the middle. A round 1/16" dia. hole. Put the nozzle back in and everything was fine. A nice pin hole for the alignment again. I did turn the power done a little bit so that might have helped.
Hello again. My nozzle alignment tape shots are looking like obrounds. It only happens with the 7.5" lens. The 5" is fine.
The last time I did it the 1st shot was round but after I adjusted it, it came out like the pictures. I tried changing nozzles. Put a new lens in. Put a different size...
I agree 100% but I got tired of the alarm window popping up all the time. And every time the owner walks by I remind him I need a vac pump filter so he knows about it. Only so much I can do.
Oop. Forgot about this this one. YA, I just changed the count down clock and the alarm went away. Now we just have to make sure we change the oil and filter. Thanks.
We need to change our vac pump oil and filter & turbo blower oil. The alarm gives us 500 hours to do it or the laser won't run anymore. We can have Amada do it or do it ourselves and save a bunch of money. No AMP or Warranty on the laser anyway. We changed the oil in our old laser before. An LCE...
There may have been something with the z sensor wire. I started getting wire break alarms and calibration failures. We had an extra wire so I replaced it and some of the other parts on the head. Restarted the machine and the wire break alarm went away but still wouldn't calibrate head. The...
Well we cut some cold rolled with nitro so we don't have to clean off the edges. Some customers have told us the powder coating was coming of the edges. The galv we need to cut 1600 parts and we can cut it faster with N2.
I changed the N2 source bottle. I changed the laser gas last week. I just ran a focus test which seemed to be off. Changed the focus, double checked alignment but still cutting bad. I just tried changing the ceramic cup and it started giving me a z sensor...
Morning. Yesterday for no apparent reason, anything I cut with nitro was cutting horrible in spots. I changed the nozzle, realigned it, changed gas bottles, try both 5 & 7.5 in lenses. SS, crs, galv & alum all cut worse than normal. As you can see from the pictures it's not good. Didn't change...
Something was wrong in the head. The calibration test started to give us an error. Finally had Amada send someone in to fix it.
Thanks for the info on cutting with the trace off though.
Our head sensor isn't working right. Has anyone ever cut everything out with the trace off just to keep cutting parts until the head is fixed?
What really sucks is our laser is only a little over a year old.
