thank you Mr.travis for your reply. I know the basics of hydraulic calculation to calculate the water demand and all. i just don't know how to apply it to the pipe sizing to all pipe.
good day everyone, I've been reading nfpa 13 standards for sprinklers and i have clarification about pipe sizing using hydraulic calculation on how to do it. I don't want to use pipe schedule in my design. please help me.
check for nfpa standard for your building. it depends. like in the passenger terminal building in nfpa 415. hydrants should be place so that no area is 500meters from the hydrants.
I have a bit complicated architectural design for a main lobby of a building.. i just want to know if a sprinkler system can be omitted in this area? see the picture..
Thank you for the response travis, why does nfpa table Table 8.6.2.2.1(b) specified that the maximum area of protection is 12.1m2 but the maximum spacing 4.6m.. how does this to value connected?
yes sir, thanks travis, but for ordinary hazard, example I space the sprinkler to 4.6m.. but the area of coverage is 12.1m2.. so there will be gaps that is not protected with sprinkler.. see my attachment.. i just want to clarify what it means...
I have question about Nfpa 13 2013 edition.. is it necessary that the spacing between sprinkler heads overlap the area of its protection? please enlighten me.
Thank you everyone for the advice. Really appreciate it.
@TravisMack sir Travis i just want to clarify about the term bulk pipe. is it similar with feed main?
