Hello folks,
Attention please as the subject is not about basic issue of supplementary essential variables of ASME Sect. IX).
My sub-contractor submitted two WPS/PQR: The first WPS/PQR is for GTAW process without PWHT and the second is similar (all essential and no essential variables are the...
Thank you tbuelna,
AS9100 or ISO9000 is quite general!
What Im looking for is a specific procedure of establishment of that project quality control plan (a kind of table on which, we can make continuous follow up of status of control items)
Hello all,
Looking for methods/ techniques on how can we establish Quality/ Configuration Management Dashboard/ plan. The objective is to ensure continuous follow up of the following:

Pipoy04,
I've never heard about qualification of UT thickness operator. Operator should be able to use the UT thickness gauge and proceed with measurements..
If qualification is not required by customer, then it's OK as I know.
As part of corrosion management plan, client could require such checks. I have been doing Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements for piping system; 4 measurements in every location (0, 90°, 180°and 270°), 2 locations per 12m length pipe.
I think that this practice is specified only on companies...
OK 150% of design pressure would be acceptable. But to what code shall I refer to?
What about holding time at that pressure do you think that it will be safe to fix it 30 minutes?
I am looking for how to determine test pressure of FRP pipes.
AWWA C950 doesn't specify test pressure.
For example B31.3 specify that for Carbon steel pipework, the test pressure is Pt= 1.5 x DP x stress ratio.
Is there a formula applicable for FRP pipeworks??
OK noted, ASME code doesn't give abbreviations list of fluids.
It should be specific to company/ project..
Thank you LittleInch and pennpiper for your prompt response!
Hi guys,
(Let me first express my Happiness to post my first question on that forum)
My question is related to the Fluid codes used on piping line list, Where can we find complete fluid codes list such as (SW: Sea Water, FSW: Flocculated Sea Water, AL: Ammonia Liquid, AG: Ammonia Gas...) ?
