In 1847 the part navigator has the default action for the feature check box's set to HIDE instead of SUPPRESS, like I'd like. I have found out how to switch this in the Part Navigator Properties, but it doesn't save this globally, forcing me to have to do this every time I use NX. Can someone...
The model would be different each time I run the journal, but I'd like to get a quick way to orient the model ISO, then have the width, length, and height measurements displayed, along with a volume. (assigning material would be a bonus) Any help is greatly appreciated!

Great thank you! Do you know if the "Create Interpart Link" can achieve the same result? I'm never able to use it so I wasn't sure if it was a different licence tier or not... Any light on the subject appreciated!
What's a good way to, say, get a hole through 2 different components in an assembly at exactly the same point? I create a datum in one component, make an intersection curve, then use a sketch to make a hole using that intersection curve. Then I wave over the datum to the other component and do...
Can't find the setting anywhere... it's always in the way! It's the XYZ popup when I transform things, for example. See att. pic. Thanks!http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=16c38d1c-cf3e-4caf-89a8-052d8080b69d&file=Capture.PNG
New to assemblies, wondering if constraints is what I'm looking for. So I have a part we've designed inside a rigid shell the same shape, just a little bigger. I want to split the inner part(the insert) in a way I'm sure I could get it out without destroying the outer shell. So after the shell...
I've changed a default, as you can see from the picture to twice to what is standard...the resulting PDF looks excatly the same... the lines from the part get lost in the dimension lines, hard to tell what's what. Any ideas...
NX 10... No matter what settings I play around with in the export PDF menu, the result is the same. My dimension lines are just as thick as the part geometry, and it is very hard to discern what is what. Is this an environment setting I should have changed before I got started? Why doesnt...
Could someone point me in the direction of info on these templates? I start a new model file or drafting file each time I start a project and it seems like this is a much better standard. Do I have a template for modelling and one for drafting, or how do people like to set that up?
I know I'm doing this wrong, can someone point me in the right direction? I'm making a blueprint for a fixture with three separate pieces that fit together. The first page should show all three. The second page I just want one of the pieces. Currently I suppress the body I dont want to see, so...
Currently I measure the current distance (ie 1.5), copy the number from the info box, then use pull face or something similar. Say I want a 2 inch deep hole. Then I would pull face, and use the expression 2-1.5 to get the extra .5" to make the 2" deep hole. Makes sense?
There's gotta be a...
