Hey Cowski, I think I have it figured out. In the model, I opened up reference sets to take a look. For some reason, I had to manually add MY rasters to the MODEL reference set. I guess when I created my images, it didn't automatically place them into MODEL ref set. Now, i'll check to make...
Hey Cowski, the original few rasters were placed in modelling and so was my additional images. So, both are in the model file. When opening up the drawing file, only the original images show up, my image doesn't show up. They are simple monochrome .png files.
Thanks guys, I'm planning on digging around some more this afternoon when I get a chance to sit down. I will check the reference sets again and also the layers, although I believe they were all on the same layer. I'll update with findings.
Interesting enough, the model & drawing I am modifying has other original raster images that are built in the model and DO update in the drawing. When I change where those "pads" are on the plate, the drawing updates everything and moves those images with the pads. Strange that MY raster...
Curious if anyone has run into a raster image from the model not showing up in the drawing. In my particular case, i'm adding rasters to sketched rectangular areas on a plate. When I open the drawing file, only the sketched rectangles are visible.
I was able to finally get some of the data to come through. Don't ask me how, because the process was really buggy.
For one of the blind threaded holes, feature parameters spit out two leaders. One for the thread (M6 X 1), and one for the feature count (2X).
Is there a way to tell feature...
Is there some issue with hole callouts on promoted bodies that I'm not aware of? I've got a couple of metric hole patterns on a promoted body (casting to machine) and using radial dim > hole callout, none of the hole features are selectable.
Also, feature parameters has been really hit or miss...
Hey jerry, it's just to the left of the snap controls right above the graphics window. Search can pinpoint it for you if you enter the exact text that Cowski has in quotation marks.
Cowski, I believe you just found the issue! As soon as I extruded through the datum csys, it was gone. So long as it was not inside the part, it was fine. I have no idea how I turned that setting off. Thanks! I thought I might have been losing it for a half a day.
Okay, I just noticed something while testing with native NX. Before sketching anything, the datum csys is there and the point is clearly visible. After sketching the polygon, and then extruding the polygon curve, the datum csys point disappears. When I hover over where it should be, the...
I did try different snap settings. Existing point, inferred, etc. but nothing worked. I added another datum csys on the opposite side of the part and tried to do what I did on the top side. I was able to select the datum csys origin for a reference. Whatever is wrong, it is definitely...
Yeah, it is very strange. For the time being, that is what I ended up doing (end point on inscribed radial line). I keep thinking it is a setting somewhere that I accidentally changed, but haven't a clue as to what happened.
Hmmm...i'm stumped. I have the correct selection scope, and i'm also trying to constrain a current sketch to an earlier sketch in the tree. I just tried a test with local NX11 instead of integrated and am running into the same issue.
For the test, i'm extruding a hex along Z with symmetric...
Hey guys, I think there is a setting i'm not seeing that is killing my sketching. It just started happening yesterday. My datum csys point is not selectable for a point reference when orienting sketch planes. Also, i'm not able to constrain sketches to other sketches (ie. point of current...
I just did a test on it, and sure enough...it seems to grab the base .prt first. I waited until the ellipses came up and was able to grab the actual promoted part. Wow, that seems backward to me! Thanks for bringing that up, Dave!
As much as I've read about the "promote body" feature, you'd think I would know exactly what it is REALLY doing a little better. When I add a "sub-assembly" that is comprised of a promoted body into a next level assembly, i'm getting some strange happenings. If I misplace constraints when...
