Raster Not Visible in Drawing

Curious if anyone has run into a raster image from the model not showing up in the drawing. In my particular case, i'm adding rasters to sketched rectangular areas on a plate. When I open the drawing file, only the sketched rectangles are visible.

The only 'raster images' which will appear in a Drawing are those which are explicitly added to the Drawing as a 'raster image'.

Interesting enough, the model & drawing I am modifying has other original raster images that are built in the model and DO update in the drawing. When I change where those "pads" are on the plate, the drawing updates everything and moves those images with the pads. Strange that MY raster additions don't even show up in the drawing (not linked to model).

This may have been true at one point, but raster images in modeling can show up in the drafting view. Make sure that the raster image is in the reference set used on the drawing and that the layer is turned on. You might also need to use the "fully shaded" view type.

Things have changed in five years. Sorry ;-)

Thanks guys, I'm planning on digging around some more this afternoon when I get a chance to sit down. I will check the reference sets again and also the layers, although I believe they were all on the same layer. I'll update with findings.

The original raster images are in the model file and your new ones are not? That could be the cause of the problem.
Use information -> object on the drafting view to see where the view is being pulled from (the model file or the drafting file). If you made your additions in the drawing file and the views are being pulled from the model, your changes will not show up.

Hey Cowski, the original few rasters were placed in modelling and so was my additional images. So, both are in the model file. When opening up the drawing file, only the original images show up, my image doesn't show up. They are simple monochrome .png files.

Hey Cowski, I think I have it figured out. In the model, I opened up reference sets to take a look. For some reason, I had to manually add MY rasters to the MODEL reference set. I guess when I created my images, it didn't automatically place them into MODEL ref set. Now, i'll check to make sure they are parametric and still fixed to the sketched rectangles.

Boom! Okay, all is well. Thanks for the input, guys!

If NX is set to manage the model ref set it will add all solid and/or sheet bodies automatically; everything else you need to manage.

Gotcha, that was the missing component. The previously added images were all set, but my new images had no assigned reference set. Makes sense now.
