Dear All,
The requirement of 27 J at the min temperature is referred to the principle parts (shell and head) of the vessel or to all the parts of the vessel?
Thanking all,
Best Regards,
Thank you for your reply, but in my previous thread I was speaking about rectangular flange.
Now I want to do an elliptical flange.
I don't have any sketch.
Dear All,
Is possible to design an elliptical flange with only two bolts?
like the connection flanges of the car mufflers, those with only two bolts?
Thanking all
Dear All,
I have two holes on the head, the first is 150 mm and is inside 0,6*Da, but the second is 47 mm and is outside 0,6*Da
Which diameter I have to use to calculate di/Da and Beta?
I think that because only the hole of 47 mm is outside 0,6*Da, I have to use this one.
Waiting for your...
Thank you for your reply r6155.
But in the description of the B 8 is written: The design rules below apply to circular flanges of pressure vessels ...
I don't have to take care about it?
Thanking you in advance,
Dear SnTMan,
Thank you for your reply, in attachment a little sketch.

Hi, you can use the Appendix Y to verify the flange in Gasket seating condition, but the flange should be verified in Appendix 2 for the operating condition :)

In particular related to the portion into the shell?
Thanking all for the cooperation,
