I tried to do exactly what you explained but THE problem is, The point belonging to a connector must be tied to a connector(as we did with flange).
Now I DON'T REAALY now how to tied a point to a connector!!

I want to use the viscous damper in abaqus. I firstly used spring/dashpot but it didn't work. Now I realized the best way is to uses the nonlinear dashpot element.

I want to mount a TMD (m,k,c) on my beam-like structure in Abaqus. The beam has a mass at its top(point mass in abaqus). Practically, a tmd should be placed inside the top mass. Its seems impossible to do this as the top mass here is a point!!!
Should a TMD mass be also a point mass?

KLR is cross coupling (lateral-rotational) stiffness of slender pile for homogeneous soil.
For example the DOF of KL and KR here are 1 and 6 respectively.

1-I OPENED THE .inp file generated by my model using Textpad.
2-I modified and saved then I imported it in CAE and ran it.
my spring is not non linear its a cross-coupled spring(In fact it's a cross-coupling stiffness KLR for slender piles in an homogeneous soil)
@FEA WAY.I opened the .inp file and added the negative value then save it. but when I run the model an re-opened the .inp file, the added value was no more there plus my results remained unchanged.
So it did nor work
