Hi Ben,
Yes normally in a drawing symbol you use the syntax \text\ to create a variable field in the symbol. The preset value can then be used to call out the model parameter as ¶m_name, etc. But when you try and use the modifier :att_mdl it doesn't work. I haven't yet found a way to...
Hi,
The only way I know of is to manually do it. I don't remember the command but it's something like Line Font or Text Font. Change the colour in the dialog and then select all the hatches. It would be easier if PTC allowed colour assignment by layer. But i don't think you can.
Hi, Does anyone know how to call out system/part parameters in a symbol note. I want to create a simple custom symbol that uses &model_name:att_mdl. This works when typed in a note, but not when added as a note in a symbol. I've tried \model_name:att_mdl\ but the variable text syntax doesn't...
Hi, 3DDave is right.
You have to create a custom symbol first and callout the rpt.index parameter in the symbol, enclosed in \text\. The back slashes are specific to symbol parameters. Then after placing a repeat region on drawing. Go to table properties, balloon symbol > custom, browse to...
Hi, you can change the drawing detail options, file > prepare > detail options. Look for radial pattern axis circle. Change to yes. This will only apply to that specific drawing. Or if your company do not like you changing detail options. You can sketch the pcd in drawing, make parametric...
Hi All, I have a general question and would like some feedback from others who may have encountered the same problem. I have a Creo cast and machine model, for which I am about half way through the drawings. I have now realised the datums needed on the drawing are not related to how the part...
Forgot to mention, you can also set the symbol font to ISO_stroked or ANSI_stroked or Legacy which are all non-truetype and allow you to set line weight. If your default drawing text is a non-truetype then use one of these settings. Change in both drawing and model. Goodluck.
I had this problem recently. The reason why your symbols look thicker is because in Creo 4 they added new support for extended ascii symbols in the form of the ISO or ANSI symbol_font setting. However, these are truetype fonts which have fixed line weight. It looks like your dimension text has a...
