Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Apparently the drawing cant be in monochrome display. Once I turn monochrome off, I can see the changes in the line.

Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Jerry, This is very helpful. I tried everything and am still not getting any results. I feel like I have a setting I need to change in customer defaults to get this to work because I've tried everything and not getting what you are getting. I tried a new scratch part and drawings to the same...

Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Not sure why, but when I change that color I don't see any changes at all. Is there something else you do that special? I have the exact setting that you posted above.

Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Jerry, thanks!! That all I need to do is really manipulate the color of the edges. I cant seem to figure out how to though. Are you familiar with this? Ill look into the render sets as well. thanks!

Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Wow so the only way to display a part in the drawing as it can be displayed as a model, is by taking a picture and overlaying it?

Showing part invisibile without hidden lines in an assembly drawing - NX12

Basically I just need represent the assembly as shaded and not shaded with edges. I take the part in the assembly and make it invisible, but all the edge lines still show. I'm working on NX 12.

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

Someone has to have a method to make this work. Can anyone comment?

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

Does anyone have incite into this? I still can't find a solution. The reflection tool does not seem to lock position to original part.

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

Awesome, got it to work by restarting. When I use this tool though, it doesn't lock the position of the part. It basically seems to do the same thing as WAVE mirror geometry non-associative. Is there a way to mirror the position so as you change it, the mirrored instance will change with it?

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

It says I have to be in the assemblies application when I search it, then it says you must be in the gateway, so I activate the gateway, then it just simply says "this command is unavailable" when I search it.

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

I have enabled it in customer defaults, but can not figure out how to use it. When I type in reflect component in the search box, it shows the tool and says "this command is available in the gateway application". Nothing happens when I click it. Very excited to figure this out. Thanks for you...

NX12 doesnt read under score ( _ ), instead shows a box symbol

When I create a parts list any underscores that are inside of the parts name show up as square box symbols. Is there any way around this without having the rename the part?

Why cant you make an associative mirror of a component using the same name

I cant figure out a way to get multiple components to be mirrored while keeping the same name and position as the original component. If the pattern component feature had linear, circular, reference, and "mirror" it would solve my issue. I want to drive a parts list in the drawing of a large...
