If You mean 50 years with replacing all spares and maintenance as per run-hours only - then NO. You will get big troubles already after 2-3 years of operation. Its many spares and maintenance services that You have to do either by run-hours or by standby time if its standby unit. You should...
Its strongly recomended not to discharge fully LiOH or Li-ion cells. Usually controllers for such batteries are smart enough to keep proper float charge voltage, so it is no reason to keep your device discharging, just for preventing overcharging.
Full discharge will decrease your battery...
Thanks for response, Mikel.
I think, they just design it only for running in parallel.. So base load was using as a temporary mode, while genset was syncing to gas turbine generator (MAIN SUPPLY). Then, once breaker for GTG open, second diesel sync with first, and DEIF switchs to Load sharing...
Hi again.. This DEIF GPC2 controller... I have rechecked drawings and found interesting thing. It has modes for governor (fixed F, base load, droop, load sharing), and for AVR (fixed V, fixed VAR, fixed PF, VAR sharing).. By drawings, its always fixed voltage modes for both engine. For governors...
That governor 723plus has jumper on terminals 9-10. This terminals is for LOAD SHARING SIGNAL. I have checked many manuals of Woodward 723+, but didnt found purpose of jumper. If i do not need load sharing, should it be jumped or remained open?

Well, genset is discussed one, and loads - a lot of 400V UPS, motors, any domestics.. Plus 11KV 250KW air compressor motors. We need at least 2 unit running. Due to our frequency dropping too high, usually when we start second big motor, we getting underfrequency trip. So our practice now, we...
Thanks for links and file!
I have read it before, and now understand separate functions of droop and iso, but what is the best combo for single genset? And what is the best combo for 2 parallel gensets? Just refer to your experience. Without grid.

One more question, how engine perform:
1) If AVR and Governor in Droop mode
2) If AVR no droop, and Governor Droop
3) If AVR droop, but Governor not.
Is it major changes will be?

Thanks Mikel, for sharing Your experience. I think we stop here, since I heard the possibilities, but cannt check it on practice. At least next time I will know what to do.

I agree. Today my last night shift, after 2 weeks I am going to day shift, and my goal will be to get approval for load test. Anyway, I have learnt much during this troubleshooting, thanks for You all! Once any update or results, I will write here.

DEIF Multi Line 2. It was using for constant control of parallel work two gensets, without grid.
DECS was AVR mode with 3% droop.
Now I dont have access to them (however I still keeps docs and reports of it), but I just wondering to know was it problem, or no. It was "my small frog, which I had...
MAP sensor we checked, its working well on different pressures. Do you think 5 point is must, if this two configure lines shows:
CONFIGURE: Z10: CFIG OPTION.USE 5-GAIN MAP 0
CONFIGURE: Z10: CFIG OPTION.USE CONST DYNAMICS 1
BTW, today we did no-load testrun with open port of turbocharger inlet...
BTW, should AVR be in same droop mode, as governor? How it can reflect to load efficiency, if for example AVR has no droop, but governor is 4% droop?

I think this question is special for Mr.Catserveng, as he is a super specialist for this AVR model, as I notice.
We had situation long time ago, with two same size genset running, equipped DECS200. After few days of stable running, VARs from one generator moved to another, and we got...
Big industrial refrigeration compressors very likely to get short circuit, due to icing on motor body and on terminal box. It happens usualy if your freon low pressure drops, but not yet trip. If you dont want to loose whole distribution switchgear at that ground fault moment, better provide to...
You do not have any replays, maybe need to add some more useful info? What is the spec of generator? What is the load on the line and busbar during sync? How it share the load? Did you try move load to generator, before switching off the grid?
