Thank you everyone! This is a 2d paper drawing supplier by our customer. We are making rubber gaskets. The finding was a 96" parts measured by a 48" scale. The operator measured, marked and measured the second portion. the tolerance was +/ .03.

Agreed its a very poor drawing. I am not sure what to do with it as its a customers MBD and they have specific documents to crate a drawing to, just doesn't make sense. As for the relevance of the drawing i asked the same question of them and to use the positional tolerancing noted in the Parts...

Agreed with both responses. To add to the question, what do you do when all the dimensions pulled from the MBD are all basic?

We have had a finding stating that we are not using hand tools correct in measuring 2D drawings. Mind you we have been in business for 75 years and I have been measuring parts for over 25. However, our inspector says we are not correct. Question: Is there a guide or requirements that are listed...
