I created 2 batches and retempered them...
No I have not checked the as quench hardness.
I set up a trial for both 1150F and 1200F. I will bring the 1150F to 1175 if it does not meet requirements.

I am trying to meet these properties below but for some reason after performing the Heat treatment listed below, I got different results. Part is 6.6" thick. I cannot give anymore than that sorry.

What are the best business practices for forging Ti-6-4 to aerospace quality?
Is it okay to forge Ti-6-4 in a furnace that is also used to forge Fe based pieces?
The Ti-6-4 is typically forged around 1700F-1775F while our Steel is forged usually above 2200F? I am worried that...

I'll just say that I have seen a lot of spring applications in very high strength PH grades (17-7 CH900 and such) that would be better served using a fluoropolymer coated steel.
In the higher strength conditions (aging below 1025F) the PH grades still have...
