MechNorth,
That's a good point, the entire top surfaces of the two tabs at targets A1 and A10 are in contact with the other part and should be target areas. The rest of the points contact small ribs so maybe axis targets should be used.
Regarding the origin of measurement, Datum A is the...
Here is a simplified sketch of the datum A set up. The datum scheme has changed a little since last I saw it; now the hoop snaps have their own profile callout. The mating part contacts at each area where there is datum...
It does make sense to clamp down at all twelve datum target location to simulate the installed state since it is a semi-ridged plastic part, but the remaining issue I have is how can you verify that each hoop snap is within tolerance to each other? On this part the snaps are at different planes...
Oh no, it's one Datum A as the main datum established by 12 datum targets; A1, A2,... A12. He says inspection will clamp down each of the 12 datum targets then measure the part. The part is ABS plasic.
I have a plastic part that attaches to another part by using several hoop snaps. The coworker I am working with is insisting on using a datum target at each hoop snap location to establish datum A since the snaps are functional features. The resulting drawing ends up having 12 datum A targets...
Great! Thanks for the tips. I didn't notice the Queue tab before. Searching for the *.ps worked too, I found my files in random folders inside /temp/. There's no way to specify a particular I take it. When I plot a single sheet and use the Output Option Print to File it still sends the file...
Aaahh!!! Help!
Does anyone know how to plot a simple postscript file to file?
I've got it setup in "utilities; Printer Administration" to create a "+HP:HP Postscript Multi-Bin Generic" file, and when plotting a single sheet there is an option for sending to a file... but nothing happens. What...
Hello,
I know it's probably a long shot but I am wondering if anyone is using Pro/INTRALINK for their PDM with CATIA V5? I am looking for advice on how to set the object type launch command within Pro/INTRALINK in order to handle .CATParts files.
Thanks in advance,
Craig
I seached the forum before I posted but like always I found my answer five minutes after the post was up. It's all in the default reference sets that are set in the load options. It worked great!

Hello group,
I have a problem. After an upgrade to a newer build of Unigraphics NX2 (for Windows) was recently installed the views in drafting mode appear as wire frame when running GM Toolkit regardless the view settings. When running UG by it self without GM Toolkit the view are operating...
Hello,
Does anyone know what the proper option settings are when saving a CGM file from Pro/ENGINEER drawing mode for use in Unigraphics? The default settings are not compatible.
Thanks in advance,
Craig
Yes, but can you import excel data as a table not an OLE object?
We are using 2001 and Intralink 3.0. We have an issue with not being able to put the inserted objects in to Intralink since OLE is path dependant.
The line in our Intralink Admin - Object Type window for Excel looks like this and it works fine. This method doesn't use the variable though.
excel *.xls Microsoft Excel Worksheet
The Launch Command is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\EXCEL.EXE #FILE
The View Command is...
How do you copy a part file this is a master model drawing and have it copy the master model at the same time to keep the references between the new master and new drawing?
