Quick update - Out of nowhere it started to work. I changed nothing (that I am aware of) and now I click on an individual cell or group of cells and the option appears to change the level of precision. Others that I work with have experienced the same thing.
We will be upgrading to 2012 soon. I...
I am not speaking of a design table, but rather an X/Y hole chart in a .slddrw file.
It seems to me I did this a few weeks back and it was very simple. I simply edited properties for the select hole locations. However, when I try this today I change the properties for the entire hole chart.
Greetings.
If I have a part with variety of hole types, how can I create a table that displays different levels of location precision?
For example, I might have fab or burn out clearance holes that would require a location precision of (2) decimal places, or drilled and tapped holes that...
Greetings all.
I have (2) questions.
1) Is SW2011 much different from the SW2007 Office product?
2) What potential problems would I run into installing SW2007 on a newer machine with a Quad Core and 64 bit Windows 7 OS?
Thanks in advance.
Yep, tried McMaster-Carr as well. Nothing. I was kind of surprised at that. They have models of most standard hardware.
Maybe I've got a buddy that is a plumber. Maybe I'll see if he can get me dimensional info.
A little off topic, but I got some respect from my bud's in the construction...
Yes, I tried 3Dcontentcental. I only found a couple fittings that were provided by users and they were not the types I was looking for.
These are pretty standard items, I'm surprised they aren't easy to find.
Good morning.
Can someone tell me where to get models of standard PVC plumbing components?
I am looking to standard stuff like pipe, 90 elbows, 45 elbows, tees. wyes. Various sizes, 1 1/2" 2", 3"
Thanks.
Ferris.
I have "shaders" and "shaders_soft" folders.
This will be huge dissapointment if the hardware won't support the function. These machines are not that old and everything was pretty much top of the line when purchased.
Greetings.
I am having trouble getting the Real View graphics to work.
I have (2) Dell systems. The first is a Precision Workstation 360 with nVidia Quadro FX3000 The second is a Precison Mobile Workstation M50 with the Quadro4 700 GoGL
Both show as tested and approved for 2005/2006, but it...
I am tring to get an MDT model into SW06. I step it out of MDT and then open the step file in SW06. The model comes in scaled down 1/25.4. In other words, what was drawn as 1" in MDT comes in as 0.0393700787401575 blah blah blah.
It does not happen with all files.
What am I doing wrong...
Greetings all.
I just downloaded the SP0.0 to SP2.0 patch. (Wow, almost 89MB) Is this an all inclusive update, or do I have to install the edrawings and help patches as well?
Thanks for your help.
Never mind, I found it. It was under the drop down menu for Tools, then Add Ins. I checked the appropriate boxes and it came back.
The boxes must have "un-checked" themselves when it crashed.
I wonder why it crashed?
I updated the graphics driver and installed the software. I got the registration code in advance as suggested. It went very smooth.
I fired up the application and was looking around and it crashed. When I started it back up things were missing from the Design Library. There are no long any...
Windows is SP1, so I should be okay there.
I checked into the nVidia FX3000, and I'm not running the approved driver. I have 6.14.10.4546 and I need 6.14.10.5303. I should probably change that before I do the install.

Thanks for the reply.
I bought SW2005 Office.
I am not sure what the Toolbox is. It sounds like something to make you more productive. If that's the case I am going to want to learn it.
I will be the only user, the installation will be standalone. But I will also need to install on my laptop...
I am a Mechanical Desktop user that is making the switch to SolidWorks. The software was delivered this afternoon, so I am getting ready to do the install.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom to share? Are there things that you now know and wish someone would have told you while you originally...
I am sure I will have a little “separation anxiety” in the beginning, simply because I know how to get things done in MDT. I will have to learn how to do these things in SW.
For the last year or so, as I work, I have been creating a list of things I feel I do well and things I wish I could do...
