    Compression Fitting (port connectors?)

Hi there. I thought i'd put the "HELP!!!" here rather than in the subject line:) I am working on a project that pipes a whole lot of (small) valves and manifolds and other stuff together which all have NPT (viz 3/8") female ports. I was working on cutting short lengths of tube (~50mm) and...

... how about dividing the line into 8 or 16 or whatever, is there an in-built command to divide a line into n-elements?

System Monitor/Diagnostic Tool for "slow down" ?

CBL, thank you for the sysinternal tools - i like the procmon program quite a lot - not sure what exactly to do with the data though:) Stefan, I'd forgotten about those extra columns, thanks for pointing it out to me. - I'd like to ask what makes you think that it may be graphics card - what...

System Monitor/Diagnostic Tool for "slow down" ?

Hello REF: "Are you experiencing Slow downs? - Try these options faq559-1094" I am experiencing painfully slow response times due to, I think, disc access speeds. The computer "thinks" for 10 minutes at a time on 1% CPU usage. Granted, the assemblies are large, but I would like to have a...

    O-Rings

Hello About a month ago I thought I came across a thread in this forum about o-rings. I can't find it now - not by searching, not by laboriously going through the thread pages, not by looking in the FAQ. So am I not looking hard enough? Otherwise where’s it gone? If anyone can point to it...

    non-default part confiuration in assembly

What is interesting is that the configuration name of the part is referenced by the BOM even after the design table has been deleted from the original part file. needless to say that $D is very useful... Cheers.

    non-default part confiuration in assembly

Morning, The configurations were indeed generated by a design table. Is there a way to get the BOM to reference the Document Name? Cheers

    non-default part confiuration in assembly

Hello I have made an assy drawing and inserted a BOM. Can anyone suggest why the configuration name is appearing in the part number column? (i.e. "default" is not a very useful part number) Cheers, Nick

    CAD Translators

I'm just thinking out loud here: Isn't Solid Edge NX/IDEAS/UG "lite" in a similar manner that SW is to CATIA? Wouldn't EDS or SDRC have a format that will commute between the two? and aren't SW and SEdge in a similar price bracket? just a stab in the dark ... but you see where i am going? /n

    BFP Recirculation Valves

There are several modes of failure for a BFW leak off valve. They can fail due to seat leakage casuing micro cavitation whilst in the shut position. The solution here a valve that has drop tight seat leakage such as some of the metal seated ball valves (VTI) with a downstream inline diffuser...

    CCI Valve Parts

Have you considered retrofitting new internals? Provided that the body and bonnet are in good shape you can fit a new stack, plug and seat with none of the problems of pirated parts - at a fraction of the cost of a new valve. Even CCI retrofit their trims in other valve manufacturers' bodies...
