Nope problem is in the windows installer, cannot bypass it without the patch. Autocad is perfectly fine, safe mode doesn't help either cause windows will still have to acces the msiinstaller

I just uploaded the english files, I also have the dutch versions of the files if somebaody might need it. For any other languages you'll have to call microsoft because I only have dutch and english registered versions of XP.
The english files can be found on my user space...
DesignerMike has the correct answer here :-), the problem I had was the one concerning the article in his link. This problem is a known problem with windows, but a hotfix is not supplied, to get the hotfix you need to call the helpdesk and ask for a hotfix order, the operator then asks a article...
@ DesignerMike: Then I don't understand, why do they say that 2005 fully supports xp sp2. Installing xp without sp2 is not an option because the xp install cd already has sp2 integrated so it is installed together with xp and therefore no unistall files are availeble. All xp's are english...
I had to install SP2 to keep out the virusses, that's a problem with our internet provider. I know SP2 is a big upgrade, but that is where updates for programs are for autocad 2004 SP1 supports xp SP2 and 2005 series also support xp SP2
already did that, I made an image from the cd to install it from the harddisk, but a previous installation a year ago with the same cd didn't give a problem. I know it is something with windows updates, I just can't figure it out
When I try to install autocad everything works fine, typ serial, user, companie, etc etc if after that the actual install begins cd-rom stops spinning en nothing happens exept CPU 100%, no error codes are displayed in windows or logs. 2004 has always worked in a previous installation of windows...
