    PDM/Works VAULT ERROR 102

One thing that I have discovered is that only the users that have been created in PDMworks 2006 get this error. This is not good...

    PDM/Works VAULT ERROR 102

I am having this same problem. We are just now getting our PDMworks vault going, and one of my users cannot check-in. They also keep getting the ERROR 102. I am the PDMworks Admin. I know that they do have the proper rights to the project. Plus they are doing a new check-in, so having...

    Circular Reference Error

Here is the deal: - I created an assembly with some “in context” parts, and some parts created and brought into the assembly. - I created a drawing file for the assembly, with notes, dimensions, and a Bill of Material (solidworks style). -Now I needed a similar assembly, so I did a Save As on...

    Library forgetting configuration

engAlright, I have not tried to load the parts from my hard drive. But because the problem seems to be consistantly happening to certain parts, I don't believe it is a network erorr. We are running a Windows Network (as of about 6 months ago). With the assemblies on, or off, the network...

    Library forgetting configuration

Jon, Yes, thank you. I am aware of the ALT + drag trick, as well. If you guys can answer my original question, I will be able to eliminate both of these steps. Thank you - Please try again.

    Library forgetting configuration

We have created a library of parts, that we use all the time. We have allocated the directory, containing these parts, as a "design library" in [File Locations] under [Options]. Many of these parts have several configurations (example: fasteners - config by length). We like this because you...

Getting part and assembly section views into drawings

Before all is said and done... Check this out: If you want to just save the section view as a .dwg file. Create a new sheet in your drawing file - go back to the sheet with the section view on it - grab the view from the feature tree - drag the view onto the new sheet (in the feature tree) -...

    Dimensioning hidden lines

If you go into [Tools]->[Options]->[Systems Options]->[Display/Selection], there is a check box with the label "Allow selection in wireframe and HLV modes" in the "Selection of hidden edges" frame. Make sure this check box is checked. HLV = Hidden Lines Visible That should cure your problem.

    Problems with an old plotter

Our company, like many others, loathes spending money unless it is absolutely needed. We are begining to implement Solidworks thoughout our engineering department, and have found that our plotter has problems when plotting Solidworks drawing files. Our plotter is a HP DesignJet 430 (D/A1) with...
