    Filleting tips

Are you trying to Fillet across a part that has been split with a join?. If you are then you probably need to federate the joinf so that it acts like one element. Variable fillets sometimes stop at join boundaries.

    CATIA V5 Assemby/Installation Drafting

sorry Harold you must be using a different version of Catia to me because I aleays have problems with overload properties. quite often they need to be applied every time the view is updated. If the part changes the properties change so you nedd to re apply the overload again. A big part like an...

    CATIA V5 Assemby/Installation Drafting

The way I would do it would be to copy the view in question (copy, paste) and use one copy to make your 'live' view and the other to add your background data. Just lock the one that does not need changing before you update. You can then get all your line weights etc and only have to do it once.

step file of stl scan data

It all depends on the data you have in your original stl file. If the stl is a surface model then that is what you will import into Catia. To get solids in your 'saved as' step file you will have to create them in catia first.

How do I show Part axis systems in a drawing view (V5)

As far as I am aware you cannot show the axis. When you set up the view if you select the axis as your origin the when the view is active you will see the axis which is the same as the 3D.

Create a product out of a Multi-Body Part

Do they want to make the single parts? I have worked with a welded assembly created as a multi body solid. As all the parts were created with a lot of common geometry it was a nightmare to break them into single parts. I think (it was a while ago)for the the first attempt 'copy and paste as...
