Thanks for that ctopher.
I'll show that to our IT guys as it all looks a bit beyond my comfort zone!

We've installed SW2024 on three machines now and when we open a new file, SW minimises itself.
Has anyone else experienced this or know how to prevent it?
It's not too serious, but it is somewhat annoying.

We started out in CAM with BobCAM.
For what we did it was fine.
It gets sneered at online and we keep considering SolidCAM, but the workflow looks very different to that which we are used to.
(I guess it's much the same as how people say the CAD package you learn first is the one you tend to...
Engineers - surely some sort of adjustable system is what is required here?
Imagine electronically raised and lowered partitions.
And they don't have to be manually adjusted - think what could be achieved with a suite of sensors monitoring, noise, temperature (draughts), light, body odour...
Hi.
We've just upgraded to 2024 and now when we go to open a file it goes back to look in a default folder in the Dassualt Systems folders.
Previously it would open up in the last folder that we'd used which was a lot nicer.
I can't find a setting or command to make it revert to looking in the...

I'm having a problem whereby, when I create shut off surfaces in the mold tools, Solidworks is creating a surface at both ends of every hole or slot so that there are double the number of surfaces required.
I can delete the extra surfaces manually but it's a pain when there are a lot (imagine a...

Ahh.. I thought feathering referred to all blade angle adjustments. I was thinking about a marine discussion somewhere on here where they would use variable pitch props (should I call them "screws"?) and they could get bogged down, so they'd lessen the pitch angle to accelerate the engine to...
Out of interest - how much feathering do the crew do? Do you normally just call for an amount of thrust and the engines sort out pitch and RPM, or is it something that you constantly adjust?

Well I can report that we have a success!
Thank you all for your help - you have saved me an awful lot of work and I'm gladdened to see the fan running correctly now.

Many thanks for the replies.
Firstly, apologies to all - I should have made clear that the terminal block is labelled and that the wiring is correct to the labelling, it's just that the terminal blocks are in a different order to the diagram.
So, just for future reference, whilst a 3 phase...
Thank you Gr8blu.
Trying to work out just what I'm looking at - is it fig. 2-24, and I should be transposing the orange and blue leads?
(I'm out of my comfort zone here - as a lowly sparky, 3 phase motors I can just about understand, but single phase motors are like witchcraft!)

Thanks for taking a look.
There's not a great deal of information but hopefully this will help:

Hi,
I wonder if someone can help me out?
We've repurposed a single phase plate fan and it seems to be running backwards.
Could someone advise on how to change the wiring to swap rotation?
It is wired as per the diagram attached, and I don't think it's ever been altered but it's definitely running...
Our 3D printer material spools (Markforged) use magnets and they seem to work very well - simple and no mechanism to wear out.
