    Refer Induction machine to Stator

I'm studying the stability of an existing wind farm for a project. Only problem is the data I have is not in the correct format to be accepted by PSCAD to model the IG in the turbine. So I'm a bit stuck.

    Refer Induction machine to Stator

Hi Guys My problem is that the data I have for the rotor is the actual rotor ohmic values (X2 and R2/s) and not the values referred to the stator as per the standard equivalent circuit (X2' and R2'/s). I would like to convert them across however I don't have the stator/rotor ratio with which to...

    Refer Induction machine to Stator

Ok, heres my problem. I have induction gen data with the rotor data not refered to the stator. I don't have a turns ratio or a rotor voltage, I only have data like the locked rotor current etc. Any ideas how I can refer the rotor data to the stator?? Cheers

    Distribution analysis

With Rerefernce to Bung... Seimens have bought out SHAW PTI and are keeping their PSS/E package with is in pretty wide usage around the world with netwrok operators. However, the cut down version of PSS/E called PSS Viper is being shelved by Seimens in favour of their own software called SINCAL...

    Wind Turbine Fault Contribution-ASPEN

I'm not familiar with ASPEN although I have read some of the details on it on the web and it will import PSS/E files. Most of the Wind Turbine manufacturers I've dealt with (GE, Vestas, Bonus, Nordex, Suzlon etc) produce static and dynamic models of their machines in PSSE for modelling by...

Ampacity Ratings of Urd Power Cable

Do the companies give details of the ducting used, if this is with or without bentonite filling etc? I've seen some cable data that provides ducted thermal ratings but is based on 3 single core cables laid in trefoil in a single duct where as others can be based upon single core cables in...

    Fault Current Calculation

ah.. you've got me there.... I've seen this used before S being the rating of the Slack Bus S=(V*V)/Z Now if the slack is given the stated RMS fault contribution from the network we have S and V so Z is easy to get... however, how accurate do you think this would be?

    Fault Current Calculation

    >>>rbulsara>>> Cheers for that, and I'll check out red book too Would this be acurate enough for getting X and R from the ratio? X = Z sin ([tan-1](X/R)) R = Z cos ([tan-1](X/R)) And then sizing a slack bus according to the RMS fault contribuiton

Sync Equivalent of an Induction machine

Hey, The DFIG only has power electronics on the Rotor Circuit so it is not totally isolated from the grid. But (and I assume this is why i'm being asked for this) the 'worst case' seems to be to consider a normal induction machine (I know, a very worst case indeed). So, if we ignore the fact its...

Sync Equivalent of an Induction machine

Ok, I'm looking at a generation project and (although its not ideal) i've been requested to give the Synchronous equivalent of the induction generator parameters. It is for the purposes of modelling and so that the the model won't have to include a model of the Doubly Fed Induction Generator...

Sync Equivalent of an Induction machine

Hey Does anyone know any good references for the method of producing a synchronous equivalent of an induction machine?

No its not homework, I'm trying verify the results I get from a new piece of software but my basic knowledge has gone out of the window...

    Fault Current Calculation

Ok, So I have X/R Ratio Peak fault Current RMS fault Current of a 33kV nominal network How do I calculate the specific X and R values from this for a netwrok infeed, ETR 120's just confusing me... And how do I calculate the equivalent network infeed I think it would be S = (V*V) /...
