One solution would be to use a fence to do your moving. Put a fence around the box you want to move and do an Inside Fence Stretch. Everything that overlaps the fence will deform with the fence movement.
Another option would be to play with a leader (dimension) line. You can associate one end...
Say, does anyone know where V8 draws it's terminator cells from? Here's the situation:
Some time in the not too recent past, Illinois DOT switched their cell libraries from using lots of parallel lines to created a solid shape to actual filled shapes. The arrow line terminator is one very good...
Wow, you are asking a very difficult question. Not only is this an unsteady flow, it is also a varied flow, which is the most difficult kind of one-dimensional flow problem to solve. It's also probably beyond the scope of this forum.
I would recommend a local hydraulics expert for this one...
On your plot options button, turn off the Plot Border. This should eliminate the Path/Date stamp. If not, let me know and I will tell you how to do it from the .plt file. If you're looking for 100 scale and eliminating the stamp doesn't work you can also check and see if you paper size is...
If you are looking for a way for drawings to redraw more quickly because your cells are complex, try using the Fast Cells option under View Attributes (click on the Bently "B" in the upper left-hand corner of the view window). This will cause all cells to appear as a box surrounding...
I use PDF995, which is also shareware. I won't do things like embedded fonts or hyperlinks, but for 8.5x11 or 11x17 CADD drawings, it does the trick. I'm going to go check out that View Companion and see if I like it better. The PDF995 creates a driver that can be used by any program in windows...
I'm not really sure what you mean by a cell's "symbol", but you can change the symbology of a cell the same way as any other element. Either select the cell and change the symbology with the Primary Tools buttons, or set it to the current symbology with the Change Element Attributes...
Has anyone had any luck importing GeoPak generated cross-sections into Hec-Ras? GeoPak seems to be creating the export file okay, but when I try to import it into Hec-Ras, the import function tells me there’s no data in the file.
I asked this question over a the Hec-Ras forum on the Boss...
Go into the Settings>Design File menu, pick Coordinate Readout, and change the Angle Mode to "Azimuth". That will give you a North reading of 0 degrees.

I'm figuring the performance of a two-lane urban roundabout using the FHWA method provided in Roundabouts: An Informational Guide, and I want to make sure that I am doing it right.
I'm taking the chart in Exhibit 4-4, Approach capacity of a double-lane roundabout, entering at the Circulatory...
I have to admit that I am a big fan of the "figure it out yourself" method. I've used that for most of my MS training, and as a result I think that I take a much more intuitive approach to any problems I encounter. Also, as CAD trainer in my department in the past, I was alway...
Dave,
Out of curiosity, why the reluctance to contact Bently? I've had at least reasonable results from their Select service. Another option is CadGurus and Ask Inga.

If you are working in a 2-d file, then there is no way to rotate any object in any way except around the z-axis (into the screen). There may be some other software out there (possibly Plantspace Design) that simulate the effect of rotation about another plane.
In short, I would recommend...
Draw the profile on CADD and overlay the truck. That's the quickest way to get an "empirical" answer to your question. Robert Weber, EI

It looks like you may have some elements that are the wrong color. Geopak uses level and symbology to distinguish between different element types (road surface, etc.)
My recommendation is to use the Edit>Select By Attributes function to find the rogue elements.
Good luck,

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) also has a publication called the Manual of Traffic Signal Design, which has a chapter on contract document layout. While this doesn't adress specific CAD issues, it does give a good overview of what information needs to be included on the various...

Scour is only an issue where the creek undergoes an unnatural contraction, such as at a bridge crossing or culvert. In order to use the HEC-18 contraction scour equation, you need both a natural width and a contracted width.
If you are not directly upstream or downstream of a manmade...
