Presently I have it O:1/0 to turn on 10 seconds after the SLC is powered up. I'll have to do some investigating and see if I'm getting a comm. fault and maybe I'm just not reseting it when it happens.
Thanks for the help controlsdude!
Well, I'm not using explicit messaging to communicate to the drives. Presently I'm turning on bit O:1/0 after the SLC powers up. Then I see that I:1/0 turns on confirming that the SDN is enabled. I then power up the drives. After a set amount of time I send out a clear fault command to the...
Thanks for the quick response controlsdude,
The fault message that I'm getting is 12-78 and 13-78 which is what I'd expect to see when the drives are powered down. On the drive adapters themselves I have a solid green PORT led, a flashing green MOD and NET A led which I'd expect to see if the...
I have a system that uses a SLC5/05 with an SDN card communicating to 13 PowerFlex40 drives using DeviceNet communication. 11 of the drives are on one conveyor system and the other 2 are on another conveyor system. When the one conveyor is not being used I have the bunch of contactors that shut...
Does anyone have any experience with getting online with this PLC? What software would be required? What type of comm. cable would we need?
We have a unit in an old chop saw. The PLC has been acting up lately. We are wanting to do a PLC swap but unfortunately the original manufacturer has gone...
I like the idea of the NET-ENI modules having the Panelview and the Micrologix connected to Ethernet but a bit beyond my budget. I ended up just unplugging the Panelview and plugging it into my USB to Serial whenever I wanted to make changes. (a bit of a pain but...)
Thanks for the help!
I have a Panelview 300 (2711-K3A17L1) connected to the second comm port on my MicroLogix 1500 (LRP). The first comm port is connected to a 1761-NET-ENI and through that to my pc. Is it possible to program my Panelview with this setup through RSLinx? I've tried a few different comm configurations...
That was one of the first things I checked. I'm thinking it is something to with Norton Antivirus. I'm not able to do a system restore, etc...
I've tried to uninstall other programs just to see what else might be effected and if looks like all of my programs have issues of one kind or another.
RSLogix 500 launches properly but when I go to open an existing file it says that the file cannot be opened because it is not in that location or is not valid. If I try to create a new file. I click the new file button and nothing happens. I try to uninstall RSLogix by launching the install CD...
I'm doing an ascii write to a printer and I can get all of my characters (put my to print characters in the string text of my ST:X) to print properly. I can do a carriage return with no problems as well (use ^j^m in the string text of my ST:X). My problem comes when I try to change the font...
Here is what I have set up to date:
Panelview Plus 700 address 192.168.0.99
SLC5/05 address 192.168.0.98
PC address 192.168.0.1
The three devices are connected through a DLink router.
All use straight-thru cables although the router is auto-selecting. I am able to view both my PanelView and SLC...
