Costs of getting rid of minerals from water

Dear gr2vessels and others, Please take note that 240m3 is equal to 63360 gallons(US). So the flow is 10m3/hour or 2.78 l/s or 44gpm. I do not have any experience with reject water but I had a desalination plant in one 20 foot container and the capacity was 200m3 per day. How close are...

Costs of getting rid of minerals from water

Please let me know if it is possible to use the reject water from reverse osmosis (contains 4 times more minerals than normal potable water) and get process water (I assume something like distilled water) with 0% minerals. How much would it cost to erect one plant capable of producing...

    PCC Paving with no reinforcement

Shrinkage in concrete slabs is regulated by joints and not bu reiforcement. So, once the joints are cut at proper distance there is no need for reinforcment, because no further cracks will appear. Have a look at what you have done. Airport runway slabs 15" thick used to be cut at 20-25' and...

I made hundreds of those but do not remember a single apron shorter than wing walls. Now it seems I have to design so. Please let me...

    Q for pond design

Thanks, I was thinking of Q=CIA/360 and than multiplied by Tc time (say 10min*60s/min) (or may be 2hour with 2hour intensity )for the total quantity, but as I said, it comes far apart with Rain hydrograph.

    Q for pond design

What shall I use as criterion for sizing a pond for develpoment project? 1/Is it Q=CIA/360 (for metric)? 2/If yes, which I? 10min 60min, 120min 1440min? 3/ Or shall I use Rain Hydrograph? I tried both and results are far apart (20/50%)Generally Rain Hydrograph gives much smaller quantities...
