Hi, would anyone have a few sample programs for a MKII? If so could you please post. I've lost my manuals on this and need to recall a basic program from scratch.
Thanks, any help is most paareicated.
LaserProto, based on the Mazak manual for a 1500 watt MKII laser these are what your cut conditions should be if usuing Nitrogen:
P1500/Q500/R100 - Gas Pressure 12 - noxxle gap -3 - 50ipm
In your inital post you state you running at F350 but I suspect that was a typo.
Pronto, you would be best to order a manual for your machine from Mazak Optonics. It sounds like your having to run blind and really need to get a manual.
You can contact Mazak Optonics at 1-847-252-4600. I have this information I can give you but to best of my knowledge we cannot post e-mail...
It is probable that your cut conditons are off. It could also be your mirrors, lens, nozzle gap.
I suspect though that it is not your mirrors/lens but your settings and you will need to ensure they are acurate. Be sure to start fresh with recommended cutting conditions and then go from there...
Well for starters you'll need to preset your z gap due to the fact the non contact will not reconize the material. You may wish to score the laminate prior to processing the job.
You can try using 600 watt/500 freq/100 duty. This is a medium setting set by Mazak. For the most part you will...
I checked my manuals and there is nothingl isted for brass. You can try standard cut conditons and reduce power etc. I personally don't have a lot of experience cutting brass so can't offer you much help. I'd go with trial and error.
If you can't get it try calling Mazak Optonics at 1...
Don't forget to account for beam width when setting your tab size. This is a common mistake and can cause parts to not be properly tabbed and during lights out operation will be a problem.
The standard beam width can vary from between .008 to .014. If you are unsure about this and want to check...
Well they all have their own benifits really. Honstly what it will come down to is your needs right now but ALSO your projected needs in the future.
I know with Mazak the hourly cost is inexpensive and you can add on with the automation down the road, which is always benificial.
You need to...
I'd suggest you look into the Mazak Champ laser. It has a 1.3K resonator and is perfectly suited for the application to which you wish to utilize it.
You can option it with a auto focus feature (I would get this if only for the time savings) and a number of other usefull options you might be...
The Mazak Champ is a really solidly built laser - hybrid in design, very low vibration and extremly cost efficient to operate on an hourly basis.
The feed rates are comparia ble to most 2K lasers, the controler is nice and easy to master and get around with as well.
I'm not a big fan of...
Laudy, just to let you know, the cost of a new manual will run you about $160. I am told it can take 10 weeks to get it sent out to you as all manuals come from Japan and are made to order when it comes to older machines.
Good luck.
You can always do a pre burn - low wattage and fast feed rate - basicly just scoring the adhesive - this will allow you to get the job done but will cost you a bit of time.
You can always do a pre burn using low wattage and a fast feed rate - basicly just scoring the adherhisive - if you can't cut it under normal circumstances. This means lost time but will alow you to get the job done.
If you contact Mazak Optonics they will be able to assist you with that. If you don't have the manual anymore your best bet is to order one via Mazak directly...the end result will be a lot of time saved and lessen the risk of damaging the machine.
When you call - 1 847 252 4600 - ask to speak...
HI There SGU44, from your name I'm thinking your operating a Mazak so you may wish to try these cut conditions:
1500 watts - 500 freq - 100 duty - gas pressure should be around 10.
I'd suggest a fee rate of 105 IPM for a start and see where that leads you. As I'm not sure exactly what problems...
Very Well said msandoval! and I agree with it totally. I've been there before and it won't change for the better.
As there is a complete lack of skilled operators available you'll have no problems at all in obtaining gainful employment elsewhere.
However be sure to INTERVIEW the employer and...
Sorry to hear that ant42!. Considering the cost for the power probe in minimal it will definatly cost them more and then I guess you'll get your wish..lol.
A real shame so many in mgmt chose to not listen to those who know the equiptment best.
Good Luck
Contact Mazak - They will easily be able to help you with this. The spacegear lasers will easily accomidate your needs but also allow you to do 2D processing as well.
ant42onia, when you say your company has no support from Mazak does this mean they will not assist you?
If you want to gauge your power you need to purchase a power probe. This can be done via Cascadelaser.com. When you get the probe you can run a test to determine your power output.
If you...
