OK, you are looking for a permanent setting to replace the word "SECTION". Drawing setup does not give that option. Perhaps there is a trick to do this (editing related files?) but I do not know.
Select the notation, right click on it and choose Properties
Modify the line on Text tab
{0:SECTION }{1:&xsec_name}
to
{0:Somethink_else }{1:&xsec_name}
That's it.
P.S.
To eliminate the word SECTION completely use Drawing Setup option "view_note" set to "std_din". This...
The way I do this is:
Save the model in SW as STEP.
Open or import the STEP file in Pro/E.
Note that the file extension for Pro/E must be .stp but SW will use .step so it must be changed.
This will transfer the model geometry but not the features.
(You see only "imported geometry" in...
And another tip:
To sort the rows select a column for sorting and use command Tools - Sort - Ascending (or Descending). This makes the sorting temporary so next time you open the table it is not sorted.
To make the sorting permanent select the sorted instances (rows) and use command Tools -...
Do you have the problem only with family table models?
Check that the parameters are defined in INTRALINK.
(intralink - administration - object - attributes - object attributes)
Check that the parameters are designated in proe.
(setup - parameters - designate)
Now you should be able to modify...
You may be right. I use proe CAM only occasionally for making models and tools so perhaps I've just been lucky not to have any problems during these four years of experience. And because the CAD/CAM program I used before was so unflexible and full of bugs proe feels much better.
I have used NC machining in Pro/E quite a lot and never had problems like this. I like that I can use same tool for modeling and NC which makes the modifications easy. Have you checked all settings are coorect? There are lot of other CAM tools that may be better but then you loose the advantage...
A sketched area is filled by x-hatch (fill) in a drawing (Pro/E 2001).
Can't get the properties by right clicking the filled area.
Can't find the MOD XHATCH command mentioned in help.
How to modify fill colour?
I'm here with a problem like this example:
I have a family table of screws with 10 different sizes.
Each of these 10 instances (sizes) needs a variable "color" which can be one of 5 preset values. The color needs not to be shown in the part itself, only as text in bill of materials. As...
