I am now looking to hire 2 new design engineers in my team (no no please dont send resumes). Of the 33 resumes we got, only 7 have the solidworks certification. I am calling these 7 for interview. Will let you know if the certification means anything about expertise in solidworks.

Where are you applying the Mesh Controls ? On an Edge or on the Surface ? It won't work if you select Edge.

For such problems ABAQUS or LS-DYNA is appropriate. If you want to get results (numbers) that you can trust and usable, then COSMOSWorks is not appropriate for impact. If you want to see just a fancy video with colors then perhaps COSMOSWorks is okay.
