For that temperature you will need impact testing for SA-516-70. From experience, SA-516 60 is a better choice for wet sour service, along with PWHT it will give you lower hardness on the weldings.

Crompto29 Thanks for the info, ill try to look for that standard.
HEC the rectangular geometry for a cyclone inlet is used because it gives better efficiency in the equipment (you want the flow to be as close as it can to the walls when entering the vessel) the connection is converted to a...
Hi, im working right now into designing a cyclon wich inlet is a rectangular connection with a length-to-width ratio of 2. I have designed the nozzle applying ASME Appendix 13 with reinforcements to reduce wall size, now im stuck into the design of the rectangular flange... I havent found any...
Is there any way to have the reports in pdf in A4 paper size directly from compress?
What i usually do now is to have the pdf report printed from the acrobat again as a pdf in A4, but the pages comes out with too large margins up and down.

MJCronin: Yes, i made that decision.
I came to this Forum to ask this question, thats what forums are made for.
I needed to make a quick decision, client did not approved the two legs design, two lugs where not allowed, three legs couldn't be because of the interferences, so four small legs...
thanks unclesyd, but the design software i use, already has the capability to design and calculate the support as 2 lugs. My question was if i could use two LEGS, anyway i already resolved the issue using four smaller legs that does not interfere with the nozzle.
That's why i ask, i can use two Lugs, but not two Legs... I know it have been donde before in small vessels (two legs and bigger baseplates with at least two bolts each). But calculations programs like Compress or Advanced Pressure Vessel doesn't allow this configuration.
It´s correct if i...
I'm Designing a small vertical vessel (324mm I.D. and 1150mm T.T.) and i'm having trouble with a 3 legs configuration due to the orientation of nozzles. Can i use a two legs configuration?
Thanks
