I tried to modify a template then bring it into a master model but it gave an error "the type of this template is not known." It did this with the other emplates that I did not modify also.

Can anyone tell me where the standard parts list comes from so I can make the changes there also.

How do I get my parts list to use my componets attributes? Currently it only shows me the quantity, name and pc_no. What do I need to do to change this?

The "2" key on the spaceball/puck is usaully the default to lock between pan and rotate. set the view to the sketch plane. Then press the the "2" key on the space ball. That will usaully help.

I use part family on a very regular basis. It does work with XESS so you will not need to change back and forth. It also works with excel but libraries made in Xess can not be edited in excel, I don't remember if they work vise versa. I use excel. The mold wizard library system gives more...

What setting do you need to use and how should it be entered? I tried to change the keyboard settings and it did not help. I am on a 64bit system using 5.0.4.1. Do they plan on correcting this anytime soon in version 5. My company changes revs when GM does. SO it may be a while before we see 6.

Thank you, It appears that the family parts do not like to moved around in the assembly manager from parent to parent. The delete suggestion and regenerate worked great. Again thank you. Brett

Yes I do, But I also tried it with the generate missing parts turned off and It still gave the list that it failed to load them.

When I open an assembly it tries to load some of the deleted or missing part family parts. How can I properly remove the reference to these parts? Brett
