Thanks for the replies.
Gupta, I have not tried using a pdf printer. Only saving as pdf through SW.
fcsuper, I have tried changing layers and colors with no success.
Limey, I do have that option selected, although it may be easier to have everyone in the office un-check this option, and use...
Hello all,
I have a revision table in my drawing in SW2010 SP3.1.
On screen the table borders and text all display in dark blue, as desired.
It appears the same in print preview, and when printed. All good so far.
Saving as a pdf however, the revision table borders change to black, with the...
Thats handy to know.
All this time I've been wasting the clicks remaining in my index finger :)
Unfortunately though the result was the same.
A second unwanted row appears.
Chris,
Thanks for the links.
The 3rd one got me excited, but unfortunately was unsuccessful, like the others.
Limey, that is an interesting one.
By default my table (the SW default table) is of similar layout, but has the chevrons pointing upwards. Double clicking will only cause yet another...
Thanks Chris, but that was the very first thing I tried.
For the first (and second) rows, right clicking on the row number and selecting delete only provides options to delete the entire table, or strangely, delete a column.
Neither have the desired effect.
Any other rows, and all columns can...
Hello all,
When I insert a revision table (SW2010) into a drawing, by default the first row simply says REVISIONS, with the second row containing all of the column headings ZONE, REV, DESCRIPTION etc.
I want to remove the first row but cant figure out how.
Does anyone know a way I can achieve...
If I understand correctly, that will only change the annotation on the drawing? Not the "description" property in the drawings summary information (File -> Properties).
This is where I want the part files description to be automatically entered.
Thanks
In a drawing template I'm creating, I want the description property to be the same as the parts description property.
I can get the parts description to display as text in the drawing using $PRPSHEET:"Description", however using the same code in the drawings properties doesn't work.
I'm sure...
Thanks for all the replies.
I understand that filling in ones initials takes very little time, but by the same token it also requires minimal time or effort to manually enter the creation date, part number, sheet numbers, title etc.
Personally I believe its still nice to have these automated...
I am looking to create a SW 2D drawing template for everyone else in my office to use. (SW2010)
I'm at a small hurdle with auto-populating the authors initials.
I don't want each user to have their own drawing template.
I want a single template to be stored on the server, so that any changes...
I'm on 2009 SP3.0
Next time it happens I will try opening the file on another computer and see what happens.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one noticing this.
Using SW09 I have noticed the odd sketch relation icon disappearing.
In a sketch I am currently editing, all relations are displayed, except for a single "offset" relation. It is however listed under the lines properties.
Another situation which seems to occur consistently is when a line with...
Should have added more detail to my original post.
The arcs were concentric, but there was no concentric relationship present.
Apparently you can't do the ctrl+drag trick while editing a part in an assembly?
Strange given that the part was driven by the assembly, including the sketch in...
Sketching in SW09 SP3 I have 2 arcs which are unintentionally concentric.
Is there a way of removing the concentricity without having to delete and redraw one of the arcs?
I read that in 05 you could hold ctrl, drag one arc to a new position, and release the ctrl key. This doesnt work for me...
Thanks for the replies.
I am using the "No Leader" Detail Circle Style.
I have tied tweaking the circle/ rectangle with varying degrees of success.
The section view I have taken is simple so I can't see any issues with it finding a true edge.
If I uncheck the "display only cut faces" option, the...
I have taken a section view of an assembly and selected "display only cut faces".
Then I have then created a detail view from that section.
I want to hide the outline of the detail view where it does not cut the visible bodies in the section view.
As far as I'm aware, this should be as simple...
Say I have a SW dwg with several views of "Part A".
"Part B" is a similar part, but not the same. (created by copying "Part A" and making changes)
Is there an easy way of changing an individual view in the drawing to show "Part B"? (with the same scale, orrientation etc)
Along the same lines as...
