Basically, what we need is to conduct internal inspections through handholes to have a complete view of the interior of a vessel. Identifying areas with corrosion, loose internals, macro observations.
Yep, I've tried it, but it usually shows boroscopy or something similar. Those kinds of cameras have a short focal range, so it's difficult to see in large spaces. I was hoping for some experiential advice like, 'I bought the XX model and it was great.'
Hi folks,
My company provides me with standard digital cameras to perform inspections. I've mentioned to them that this type of camera isn't the best option for internal inspections. Just imagine trying to take a look with the camera over a handhole in a vessel. Based on your experience, is...
TugboatEng, great, I'm searching on https://www.imo.org/ and appear that Argentine has comunications with... And I see that has comunications with several nations of south america.
Can you tell me where did you take that quote?
jeje ok Sorry LittleInch, there I go....
Some years ago, a operator ask to us (engineering consultancy enterprise) to make some integrity evaluation of his offshore hose. We design some activities that include: Visual examination, Hidraulic test, vacum test and electrical isolation test. But...
Hi! There's any code that regulate a certification program for hose pipe (flexible pipe / bonded flexible pipe) or similar elements to discharge from ships?
Hi! I'm performing an inspection of an finfan. One of the nozles have this alloy "SB221A96063T5". At the moment I couln't found any information about it. Do you know where I could found any information about it?
Hi! I've a question around API 581 Tank Course's consequence. When we evaluate a Course, the rate of leak depends on fluid column of given Course. The calculation is adjustes to barrels per day, and the calculation of the consequence for the Tank Course use the same equations that we use in...
Hi fellows, I'm performing a fitness for service (API 579 Part 3) on a Exchanger who works at low temperature. When I check the design data it has a minimum temperature of -10°C.
The flat head has a thickness of 209mm (SA-105). When I check the minimum temperature trough the toughness curves of...
Thanks, we began evaluating the vessel taking the group segregations as a lamination. With this premise, the indication would not comply with the requirements of API 579 part 13. As you indicate, would not be the most appropriate evaluation procedure. The vessel has inner lining, for this...
Hi, I'm analyzing inspection's results of a vessel. We found a some indications in the middle of the thickness. The vessel is a Freewater KO and the operative pressure is 3 kg/cm2. I search in API 571, and said that it may be susceptible to HIC. Should I analyse by API 579? We didn't found a...
Thanks, I was making a rerate of a vessel with API 510 8.2, and in the flow chart ask if the toughness has changed. This confused me and I started looking requirment of the toughness for this material.
Regards to everyone
