Hi! There's any code that regulate a certification program for hose pipe (flexible pipe / bonded flexible pipe) or similar elements to discharge from ships?

API 17J maybe?

Look up a few vendor catalogues and see what they say.

But there's any law? I'm from Argentine, and here there's no control about it

Every country will be different.

Will depend also on the country of vessel registration.

But shipping is notoriously unregulated...

Why do you want to know? So long as it goes over the side what's the issue?

MARPOL said:
Hoses
6.2.6.6 / The hoses used for the STS transfer of crude oils or petroleum products should be specially designed and constructed for the product being handled and the purpose for which they are being used. Hoses used should comply with EN1765 (or latest equivalent) with regard to specification for the assemblies and with BS1435 (or latest equivalent) and OCIMF guidelines with regard to their handling, inspection and testing. Hoses should bear the following durable indelible markings:
1 The manufacturer’s name or trademark; 2 Identification of the standard specification for manufacture; 3 Factory test pressure (Note: equal to rated working pressure, maximum working pressure, maximum allowable working pressure); 4 Month and year of manufacture and manufacturer’s serial number; 5 Indication that the hose is electrically continuous or electrically discontinuous, semi-continuous or anti-static; and
6 The type of service for which it is intended e.g. oil or chemical.

I guess it depends if IMO has any teeth in your country.

Also what's in the hose?

Vague question, vague answers..

jeje ok Sorry LittleInch, there I go....
Some years ago, a operator ask to us (engineering consultancy enterprise) to make some integrity evaluation of his offshore hose. We design some activities that include: Visual examination, Hidraulic test, vacum test and electrical isolation test. But this we made it based on a research and experience. I've some doubts about if in other countrys have some regulations that indicate especific activities (sorry, my english is a little bit rusty)

TugboatEng, great, I'm searching on and appear that Argentine has comunications with... And I see that has comunications with several nations of south america.
Can you tell me where did you take that quote?

TugboatEng, MARPOL is only Ship to Ship? or aply to Terminal to Ship?
