    BACB30FM Test Report "Too Short"

Wil, I spoke with the manufacturing company engineer about this and he said that the "too short" entry was due to the fact that the pin grip length(.375") is below 2X the diameter(.500"). He cited Procurment Specs BPS-F-67 REV AL and HS342 REV AG (which are referenced on the Test Report)and...

    BACB30FM Test Report "Too Short"

Thanks Gents; I plan to call the manufacturer and ask the same question. I suspect "too short" means that the fasteners would not fit into their test apparatus. Respectfully, Metalsmythe77

    BACB30FM Test Report "Too Short"

I'm looking at a Quality Assurance And Reliability Test Report for a batch of BACB30FM8-6 pins we recieved and under the "Ultimate Tensile Strength/Pounds" column the entry reads "too short". The same entry was made in the "Tension/Tension Fatigue Life/Cycles" column. Any concerns I should be...

E-Drill usage on composite panel fasteners

Does anyone have experience or feedback on the use of "E-Drill" to remove blind fasteners on composite structure? The system uses a precision EDM electrode with a built-in water flushing system to prevent heat damage. The EDM cuts the fastener head enought to allow for easy shank removal...

    Spec sheet for TL200 fastenrs

WKtaylor We purchased one from Amazon about 5 years ago; it is indeed very fat and has been taped up several times. Sorry to hear your copies have been hijacked so many times. Rivet Symbol Legend on older engineering drawings

Does anyone know the history/background on legacy aircraft drawings that have a "Rivet Symbol Legend" block on the upper right corner of the drawing title page? They show a basic circle, basic circle with a diagonal, etc. depending on the solid rivet head style and diameter. Was there a code...

First Oversize for a MS21250 Bolt

Not aware of any. There is a similar 12-point tension head bolt: MBT50 that may be available in X or Y oversize configuration. We have had trouble finding these as well (very expensive with outrageous lead time.)
