I've also noticed that when you enter a value into a dimension handle to edit that dimension, that the box disappears. Between this and the text not facing the viewer it's as though they're trying to purposely hinder non-synchronous use.
I've searched and found others with similar issues. I'm coming from V20, and ST2. I don't use synchronous.
This is my first time playing with ST4 and I've mostly managed to get the UI back to an actual usable setup but there are a few sticking issues.

I wouldn't mind using a representation if I hadn't previously been able to use an actual spring model.
donyoung; Thank you. Now I have to figure out what I'm messing up :)
I've recently changed employers and am now using SE V20 (which I had used in the past) after using SE ST for about 1.5 years. I'm having a bit of a problem.
I can't be sure, but I think when I was at my former employer and was still on V19 and V20 I had made helical protrusions, added...
I've done that too but it falls short (if using crosssection) in not representing the stopping point at the bottom of the helix. (the bottom face of the cutter) This outcome should be identical to a parallel helical cutout in that respect, no?
In the past I've been able to get around this (sort...
First time poster, long time reader.
I've been struggling with this ability in solid edge since I started working with it. Essentially I can't get what I want with either the helix commands or using surfaces.
What I'm looking to achieve is a surface (cutout) that would represent a helical...
