There is a very similar reference on GTAC. (PR-05970459) All it says is: For PR Data location please see the Coordinator Notepad I see no other information that would be of help. I search the PR number and get nothing but the same description of the...

Found the Faceted selection under view style. Will give that a go. Any other suggestions for reducing memory problems in views of large assemblies would be welcome.

Drawing with Large Assy View iso-Won't Render

Under preferences>drafting I see options like Load component on Faceted view selection/Load component on Faceted view Update. I tried creting another base view looking for a Faceted selection somewhere and don't see it. I am using UGNX6 on a Dell 690 with 4 GB ram Xeon 3.3ghz Processor. Where...

I am creating an assy drawing to be Ballooned. There are 700 parts in the assembly, many duplicated(Nuts, bolts). Rolling Backup File?

I cannot find good reference for API. Can you recommend some sites?

    Rolling Backup File?

Unfortunately, No. If there isn't something creating a duplicate or "Rolling file" that comes standard, I wonder if there is a way to set it up. Have you ever saved a file, and then realized that you needed the old version of something you changed for some reason? This is what I'm dealing with.

    Rolling Backup File?

Is there any running Backup within UG that would ALLOW me to revert to an earlier version of my model? I am using UGNX6. I saved a model, not realizing that there was a problem and would really like to get back to an earlier version. I am Working our IT department route but I would imagine...

Reference 2D Drawing in 3D space Disappears if not work part

Got it. It was a combination of Load options entire part & reference set. I'm not sure what else I tried everything many times including recreating the files involved.

Reference 2D Drawing in 3D space Disappears if not work part

Can I bring it into NX 2D drafting? There is an import option that says import NX-2D Imports NX 2D for use in 3D models That looks interesting

Reference 2D Drawing in 3D space Disappears if not work part

That did not work but we're in the ballparl I'll bet. It would not let me select any elements of the 2D knowmatter what. I can go back to scratch and do it right if I know what right is. I have a .dwg also that could be used although I think there are scaling problems with autocad.

Reference 2D Drawing in 3D space Disappears if not work part

Yes the layer is turned on. I switched to reference set entire part-no difference. It was simply added to the assy, not in any specific reference set, at least not anything intentionally turned on or used. Maybe the question should be, what would be the preferred method for doing something...

Reference 2D Drawing in 3D space Disappears if not work part

We are creating a manufacturing line in 3 D using items from all over(Screws, Clamps, Weld guns, the usual stuff) all in 3D. We have a layout(which is constantly changing) from a 3rd party that is 2D IGES from Cadkey. We would like to "Lay the 2D drawings on the floor" and use it as reference...
