Using Catia v5 R19, sometimes I need to work on details that have the view blocked by another portion of the part. What i was wondering is, can I cut a part using a specified plane and then keep that view to work? Basically, can i no-show half of a solid through a plane?
I still need to use the middle mouse button, but i was hoping there was a mouse options under preferences somewhere, where i could turn that feature off. If i cant, then i guess i cant.
The second issue: Its not so "easily" hide and show. If i switch from space "a" to space "b", it rebuilds...
Two part question-is there anyway to remove the middle mouse button from being an "enter" key? I use the same button to rotate and I end up pushing "ok" for things i dont want.
second question is-is there any options or tips for speeding up NX when you flip between visible and non-visible...
Thats what i did in the beginning if you see my original post. I would say most of the time that works, but when i get files from certain automotive companies, it does not. Which leads me to believe that there is some option switch or some checked-checkbox somewhere affecting it.
I tried it but it still doesnt work. I actually found out that if i add a "parent" to the part i am able to copy/paste that way.
There has to be a feature turned off on the file or something.
Using NX5, i want to cut a cross section of a part and then put in a seperate file. Usually I make a sketch and use the cut/paste technique and it works. However sometimes I cannot use this because it says that it is "linked" to solids (usually doesnt work on the files i need most).
Any...
Thats not quite what I was looking for. I am thinking of two curves in space and making a radius corner. This corner being radius and tangent to each curve. They have "bridge curve" but you cant enter a radius value. Catia does, and thats what I am looking for.
For visualization, think of a...
Just making the switch from Catia to NX7-Im looking for the equivalent function of the "3d Corner". I see a "cylindrical corner" but the results are never tangent to the two lines i need. So what I am doing is making the cyl. corner and then "bridge curve" and try to match it as best I can...
