Thank you for your response.
I guess the stating a version would have helped, still on ST7. It does not have a file by that name.
I will search around using different variation of that file name.
I also tried the assembly template but it did stay for me either.
I will experiment with the step...
Hello All,
2 questions
1 Is there a file that contains the list of Suffixes\Prefixes in the Dimension Prefix dialog box?
I have a few in the list that I would like to remove and can not find where or how. I imagine
it's perhaps in a file somewhere but can not seem to locate it.
2 Is there...
We have been seeing an error pop up "no disk space available for undo support"
Has anyone else seen this?
It occurs on 2 different systems, 1 is windows 8 and was is windows 7. It has only happened on the Win7 a few times but occurs more on the Win8.
I am not sure if the OS is just a...
Thanks, appreciate your comments.
The folders vary but are all within a common shared folder tree along with the part and assembly files which have no issue. We are a simple Windows network with sharing, with 2 installations of ST6 both running Win7-64. Both systems create locked pdf's using...
Hello again,
Upgraded to ST6 and the pdf files created by Solid Edge "save as" are still a locked file only viewable to the creator.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks
Both myself and my co-worker have run into this problem. If we "Save as" and select pdf the file is locked and cannot be opened by anyone other than the creator or the computer system admin. We only started noticing it within the last few months. This does not occur if I instead print to pdf...
Side note, probably would have helped to have known that even before the new system. Been using SE for 6mnths now as installed right out of the box, came from 20+yrs of AutoCAD, so I haven't quite got a handle on all these tips and tricks.
But one thing for sure is I will be reading over these...
There has been talk of ST3, our subscription ran out but we have new jobs coming that will require an additional seat so we may have no choice but to upgrade.
I wish to thank you all for you assistance and expertise.
I am "told" we will finally upgrade to ST2 we got last year by the end of this month. I will wait and see how running the 64bit under win7-64 helps with my situation and from there determine which video card I may need.
Thank you both, that is what kinda what I was thinking. They did me a favor by buying a new system, too bad a new video will run from half to full cost of the system itself.
As to the 64bit version, I currently have ST which did not come in 64, we do have ST2 laying around but not everyone here...
Not really, very sluggish responses orbiting and zooming once an assembly grew to more than a few parts. Items disappear and the display is jumpy. Blows my mind that i see no improvement in those reactions.
btw, I also use a 3Dconnexion
I recently purchased a new system and installed my copy of ST. Moved "up" from an xp pro system to win7-64, doubling my RAM and video mem and see no improvement. I did get ST to install and it runs the same as it did on the older system. I updated all drivers.
