Updating linked bodies constrained by interpart expressions

I have the "load interpart data" checked on, and all the details are the entire part reference set.

Updating linked bodies constrained by interpart expressions

I'm using NX6.0, and don't see Delay Assembly Constraints. I also have delay interpart update unchecked. I should note that when I move the component using the move component commmand(within the degrees of freedom the constraints allow) it updates fine.

Updating linked bodies constrained by interpart expressions

I have an assembly of a die-set that is almost entirely constrained with distance constraints. The values are interpart expressions. When I make an edit the actual components move fine, but the linked bodies stay in their original position until I use the "update for external change" command...

Using Expressions to drive Thread sizes

John, does the call-out expression generate itself or do I have to create it? I've looked for it in the expression editor(filtered by string), but nothing shows I up. I've noticed the thread parameters dialog shows the call-out with the brown background which normally shows up when the value is...

Using Expressions to drive Thread sizes

I could use that as a last resort. Preferably I'd like to keep the part navigator as uncluttered as possible.

Using Expressions to drive Thread sizes

I want to set up an If_Then_Else statement in NX6.0 that drives symbolic thread callouts. The input would the the tap-drill diameter. Basically, I need to know if it is even possible to control the callouts via expressions. And if so, what would the "then" argument be? Thanks.

Creating a Visual Editor cartoon from the drafting program.

Yeah. I go to tools > Visual Editor, but Visual Editor is grayed out. Originally I had the environment variable UGII_DRAFT_EXPRESSIONS_OK set to nothing. I then set the variable to 1 thinking that would fix it. I tried restarting NX, as well as my machine.

Creating a Visual Editor cartoon from the drafting program.

I just want to be able to grab the graphical area in the drafting application and use it as the cartoon.

Creating a Visual Editor cartoon from the drafting program.

I can create a sketch and grab the cartoon. However, I wanted use the drafting application, because I could have a both the top view and side view in the cartoon. Also my company doesn't really model off of sketches except to make a basic rectangle that we extrude up at a given height. At some...

Creating a Visual Editor cartoon from the drafting program.

I'm trying to create a cartoon for visual editor in the drafting application that has expressions associated with it. According to the NX documentation I need to set the environment variable UGII_DRAFT_EXPRESSIONS_OK=1. I did just that, but the VE is still not accessible in the drafting...

    Creating journal toolbar button?

I think I just found my answer in the documentation. Sorry for making an unnecessary thread.

    Creating journal toolbar button?

Is it possible to create a toolbar button for a specific journal in NX 7.5? I've searched the forum and Google to no avail. Thanks
