Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft

Rb1957: yours- " we get by a lot of installations with 9g inertia loads and 200 lbs ground handling loads, and pretty large margins as well." Will it be possible for you to indicate a source for using sideways or up/ downwards 9g load case. I can't use it without a reference. thanks Ykantor

Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft

Some indications for critical load cases: Lomax, book: p. 195: "In general, the forward body becomes critical for vertical gust conditions and the aft body for lateral gust conditions. p. 195: may become critical for the aft body... is the oblique gusts. p. 196: Dynamic landing...may be...

Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft

to Stressebookllc : Yes, sometimes there are few alternative critical loads , depending in the situation, but as the image (the page 11 above) presents, there are typical critical loads, at least for some of the regions. to Rb1957 : Thank you for the loads information, but I need a sourced data...

Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft

to Stressebookllc : apparently those are universal load cases, albeit with some minor modifications evolving with other materials ( e.g. composites) and software that limits pilot's mistakes. e.g. Lomax, who accumulated 40 years of experience as structural loads engineer at Boeing, writes: "The...

Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft

Which load case is the design case for any location in the aircraft? preferably as an image , such as page 11 in this file. I have looked at loads analysis books ( e.g. Lomax and Howe) but they have some textual description only. e.g. The lateral gust on the vertical tail is the critical...

returning to the "Display values behind formula" in excel

IRstuff - A limited function is still valuable for me ( and presumably for other users as well). i.e no aliases, no named ranges, just plain cell addresses. Doug - the DISFOR function works fine. regards ykantor

returning to the "Display values behind formula" in excel

thank you Doug It is OK and working. Just for my curiosity- why "doesn't seem to be a simple job" ? One may use: Public Function DisplayFormula(rng As Range) As String Displayformula = rng.Formula End Function and generate the formula with cell addresses and operators. The next step is...

returning to the "Display values behind formula" in excel

Hi While googling, it was found at http://www.geocities.ws/lalesyah/Download/index.html but have not tried to use it. Is there a way to verify that it is not a malware? Is there an alternative solution? regards ykantor

returning to the "Display values behind formula" in excel

returning to the "Display values behind formula" in the faqs: "Display values behind formula. Download excellent VBA function disfor() from http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Hills/1829/VBA/index.html The formula will look like actual handwriting, e.g. (5+6.3)/3." The link has expired. Is...

    punch file output

Nastran solution is essentially a program written in DMAP language, which is described in "DMAP Programmer’s Guide" . You may write a short Dmap Alter , place it in the executive control and run it. regards

    running analysis in sequence

zeroexperience proposal deals with different load cases, but not with different geometry, as requested. htyunis you have to create a patran session file, which instructs patran to generate the model and run it. Once you have a session file for one geometry and load case, you edit it in order to...

    Nastran: Core problem?

probably your model size is too big for Nastran current setting. Do you use Patran to run Nastran , or run Nastran as stand alone? look at Nastran installation manual, for the parameter which enablr big models. good luck
