thread1234-330486
Hi guys! I'm opening this thread again. I've always had the problem with the Nastran Options - Output Set Titles.
When I have a Multicase Static analysis, it's convenient to configure the Output Set Titles to "3.. Nastran LABEL", but when I jump to Modal Analysis, the outputs...
Is there any possibility to activate or deactivate an element or even better group of elements at some load cases?
For example, there is a mass elemenet that at some load cases, it shouldn't be activated.
Thanks in advance

Hello guys! I'm trying to calculate statically a structure under differenct load conditions, where the load is rotating at specific angles in one plane. Is there any fast way to achieve it?
I was thinking that it would be possible to define the desired positions by creating new coordinate...
Thanks rb1957! I played a little bit with the RBEs. From the one side I created RBE2, so it will deform as a rigid body and to the other side RBE3, so the load would be uniformly distributed.
Hello guys!
I'm trying to model some solids elements connected with ONE spring CBUSH element and I have rigid motion problems :(
Do you have any idea, how to eliminate this problem without modelling couple of spring elements?
P.S. I've constrained the rotational dof of the CBUSH, but I'm still...
Right Jan!
I'm trying first with linear static. Any help is greatly appreciatedhttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=c790dcf0-66e2-44d0-ada9-24b737f6aeb5&file=rbe_symmetry.dat
Hello,
I'm trying to distribute a load through an RBE3 element that happens to be on a symmetry plane. Unfortunately I get singularity errors from NX Nastran, bcs the RBE3 element has 3 constraints from the symmetry condition. I eliminate these 3DOF from the dependency dialog, but still get...
Thanks for your quick answer! My problem is that I can only highlight the entity, namely I double click later or click OK and the entity cannot still be selected. Is it a bug or wrong configuration?
Hey guys! I can't find a way to select an entity using the option Pick-Query. It seems that you can only highlight it and read the ID only. Am I doing sth wrong?
I am trying to apply pressure to a group of surfaces, where some of them are boundary surfaces. The load it seems to be applied and the results are the expected, I get however the following error message before analyzing the model
Unable to Expand Pressure from Load Definition 1 onto Surface...
Hey folks,
I'm using the API command feRenumberOpt for renumbering a set of entities. But if I try to edit these entities later in my algorithm, they have the older IDs. Is there a way to edit them according to the new renumbered IDs.
Thanks in advance
Alexandros
I'm trying to create a surface using the command Surface aligned curves, but I always get an error message "Failed to loft surface through curves, check direction of input curves". Even though I'm changing the direction of the curves with the command Reverse curves, trying with every possible...
The surfaces are already deleted from a previous rebuild, but not the curves. When I rebuild and I choose to delete the invalid geometry, it deletes everything. Does it have to do with misuse of the non-manifold add command? I have a backup file, but I hope it doesn't show me again the same error.
As I was working with my model, suddenly many error messages appeared with invalid surfaces. I tried to rebuild my model, the errors continued appearing and when I reloaded my model, new error messages appeared "Curve xxx has no facet" and the whole geomety! [ponder]
Does someone have any idea?
