I did some online research and I found out that the files I should be editing are the ones that are labeled "mmns_part_solid.prt" and "inlbs_part_solid.prt". I went to try and add the isometric view by opening my templates folder in the install directory and adding the view as I had explained in...
I would like to thank everyone that has responded in advance to some of my threads! I am new to pro/e and I will be starting a job soon that will require knowledge of the software. I wanted to go in as prepared as I could! In any case, my problem is that I am trying to create an isometric view...
@jvian
You were both absolutely right, I had my proe.exe staring in another folder because I wanted to have control over where the trail files where. I just changed the start in to one of the folders on my c:/ and it worked after I gave it administrative privileges. I may actually just change...
I am currently trying to learn pro/e in depth. I am having trouble trying to get full functionality from my options. I will write down my steps.
1. Open Pro/e wf 5.0
2. Tools -> Options
After I complete this a popup window comes up that shows the current settings. My problem is that I don't...
Every time I save a file (Using pro/e 5.0) I look and there is a new version of the file. I don't understand why it doesn't just save it over the original instead of making a copy. The two files with the same name are the part as it was save at the moment it was created.
Yes, this was very helpful. In the top menu follow the steps shown below.
View > Display Settings > Model Display > Display While Re-orienting > (check) Datums
For anyone who needs more detailed information!
I am having trouble trying to figure out a way to get the datum planes on pro/e to remain visible when rotating the figure with the middle mouse button. This issue happens anytime I try to rotate the working area. This happens when there is a solid or if it is empty. I can't seem to find an...
I am having trouble setting my display to maintain visibility of the datum planes when I rotate the view holding down the middle mouse button. I was wondering if there is a way to make the datum planes visible during this operation. I also would appreciate if there is any literature or online...
I was able to complete the task by going to my "pro\e" starup icon right clicking and going to properties (i'm using win7) here there was a section in the "shortcut" tab that contained the location where my trail.txt files where going
(ex.)=> "c:\comp_name\documents"
I then changed that by...
I unsuccessfully attempted to change the directory. I saw all the things that were described but the option text field was unavailable unless I scrolled down to "current Session". I opened pro/e then I went to tools then to options where I had the path to the folder that contains the...
I will try to do what you have described and if it is successful I will post back. I will also take screen shots of the steps and post them as well to confirm the directions I was given...Thank you
I have "pro/e wildfire 5.0" and I am trying to change the save location of the trail files so I can have them in a safer and more organized location. I have been reading some of the post that give vague directions using "config.pro" and "trail_dir", but I have not been able to successfully...
