1/4" NPT metric equivalency

What is equivalent to a 1/4" npt pipe coupling for England?
I spelled out a 6mm BSP (British standard pipe thread) but am now being asked if it is a 6mm-1.2 or a 6mm-2. I am merely trying to provide a gauge connection on a small vessel. Is there a pipe thread norm in here somewhere?

I already looked at Wikopedia and a few other sources, but nothing quite cuts to the chase. I don't need the library on BPT, I need to know what is equivalent to a 1/4" NPT in British speak.
