FYI--this is just meant to be a helpful thread; I don't have a question.

See attached MDOT report no. R-1529, which includes the 1930 Westergaard report, "Computation of Stresses in Bridge Slabs Due to Wheel Loads" in the appendix.

I've read through multiple threads on Eng-Tips regarding vehicle loads on bridge decks or elevated slabs. The 1930 Westergaard report is often cited, but it can be difficult to find. There was a link to the report in one past thread, but the link no longer works. This thread is my attempt at helping folks that have been searching for the report like I have. I couldn't find the original report on its own, but I found it in the appendix of a MDOT report.
