1973 Sketcher - Can't dimension to other parts in an assembly 1

Gee this new sketcher sure is wonderful huh?

...I'm trying to dimension a circle to the edge of another component in the same assembly. I click the center point of the circle, and click the edge of the component and get nothing. Both the edge and center point of the circle are highlighted.
I can get the dimension by sketching a line on that edge, turning it to reference and then dimensioning to it but I feel like I should be able to dimension to the component edge? Like in previous versions in NX using the dimension commands.

Surely I must be able to do this and am missing something really simple right?

Use the "include" command in the sketcher to include the edge in your sketch then dimension to the included curve.

Verify the center point is toggled ON in the point selection box.
I need to constantly go into that dang thing.
