Hello to all,
i need some clarity and healthy discussion of one design change intitation which i want to implement on 2-piece ball valves.
as shown in two pictures, there's gland flange bolting of 2-piece 50mm class 150 cast steel floating ball valve, as shown there currently gland flange bolted with body with a headed bolt and nut. if u look carefully on the bottom nut side sitting face there's grooved portion in which nut is placed.
so i am thinking to change this design with a slot in body gland side flange shown in another picture of 3d model.
actually at the moment it's very tedious task in die to make those hole and groove for bolt and nut.
so my question,is there will be any major effect on joint or what are the possible consequences arises from this?
