75 Shore NR compound for Vibration control

We have a NR material which currently has 70 Shore, and we need to increase it to 75. The idea is to increase the static stiffenss (under compression) and keep dynamic stiffness (and lowest fn.
Reinforcing filler is silica (BET of 170 m2/g)along with a silane.

To get it I tried to increase the filler phrs. The hardness was achieved, but with a decrease on performace, because natural frequency increased too much.

Any ideas how to change he compound in order to get our objective?

I suggest you contact the engineering section at the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC). They should be able to help you.

Only limited help/advice can be offered in the absence of the complete formulation. I'm always worried about silica reinforcement even with a silane agent, and these can vary considerably. You must ensure that the state of cure is high enough. Increasing the level of vulcanizing system (all, sulfur, accelerator) msy be worth a try.
